Pirate Burgee-01.jpg
Art + Sailing logos2.jpg

This locally famed pirate buccaneer is the logo for the late Hungry Palette boutique which was home to Sandy Bragdon’s bright, kaleidoscope of personally, hand-drawn, screen printed fabrics for more than half a century located at the corner of Union and Water Streets in SE Connecticut’s Stonington Borough.

The logo was designed by Peter Good, graphic artist of note and fellow classmate of Sandy’s at University of Connecticut, Class of 1965.

Sandy and her husband, Tucker pioneered the Stonington Dinghy Club circa 1969 which, to this day, hosts a free summer races series on Wednesday evenings in Stonington Harbor.  Sailors of every age, experience-level and walk of life participate in this friendly competition aboard all make and size boats 20’ in length and under.

Tucker is still out there winning races with the Hungry Palette spinnaker flying high.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this Hungry Palette logo art will be donated to community sailing efforts in Stoningon Harbor.  Thank you.
