A unique illustrated rendering of the Avery Point Light House in Groton Connecticut at the base of the Thames River.
A unique illustrated rendering of Latimer Light House in Fishers Island Sound off Napatree Point and the east end of Fishers Island.
Drawn with a vintage appeal to minimalism to accompany it's fellow Eastern Long Island Sound Light Houses in the Abbie Art Minimalist Light House Series.
Light houses in the series include: Now London , Avery Point, the Ledge, Stonington, Watch Hill and Latimer
This Light House was originally drawn for the Mystic Chamber of Commerse as part of the coastline vehicle wrap map on the left side of the Chamber's Visitor's Center Truck.
The illustration is digitally hand-drawn and printed on museum quality, heavy-weight, matte paper. Frames are made to order and are .75" in width with a protective acrylic front.
Abbie hs been illustrating and painting since the late 1980s. She raised her two children sailing and sandcastle building along the shores of the Fisher's Island Sound.
She specializes in nautical illustrations depicting area seascapes and obscure points of interest often from an on-water, boater’s perspective. So far Stonington & Mystic, Connecticut have mostly been among my subjects with some Martha's Vineyard and Cape Cod included in my portfolio as well.
If you are interested in custom work, DM her. She does commissioned portraits placing people in her illustrations as well as homes, boats and favorite secret spots.
Prints are available in multi sizes. Frames are available in Black, white and natural.
